Your Spiritual Warfare Must Be Strategic
I recognize that this world has been conditioning us all to be two things. (well more than two.. but lets focus on these for now)
PASSIVE
and
DISTRACTED
There are common sayings you will hear in many circles now: I’m not judging…Jesus didn’t judge….You do you boo…no one is perfect.
These sayings are highly detrimental as It cancels discernment, blinds our eyes and waters down our awareness.. all for the sake of like ability and blending in.
Question - If you were in a war and you’re preparing for battle would you:
A: Want your army men lacking awareness …more worried about being liked…and not judging anything?
or
B: Want your army men with the most keen awareness (able to see even in the dark) and can sense what’s about to happen all while not being fooled by the opposing army and NEVER dropping their weapons?
I can assume everyone would choose B.
But are you aware that our culture has been training us all to be A.
We are more concerned with not offending people than we are in speaking unshakeable truth.
We are trained to be copycats. Tik Tok challenges and reel culture has us mindlessly following others and mimicking others to form our identity
We let culture shape our morals and truth instead of looking to the the CREATOR for our truth.
We spend most of our years in school pre-k - college (for most) being indoctrinated in lies and focusing on learning things that keep us blind from knowing that we are being manipulated and controlled. We now have a plethora of fancy words to intellectualize the warfare. We throw a label on it and keep it moving. So we can get the job or the next degree
So, it’s no surprise that we are not prepared for spiritual Warfare. Yet we are prepared for the next iphone coming out and all of its new features. We are prepared for the new season of our favorite series. We are prepared for whatever nonsense the culture has created to keep us highly distracted and highly controlled.
Which makes it no surprise that when most are dealing with spiritual warfare they only see it through the lens of
A mental illness. They will just throw the label of anxiety on it and begin to identify as an anxious person
A pill. They will get a prescription pill to basically feed the demon that’s oppressing them. And numb out so they don’t notice it as much
Therapy. They will pay another person to help them negotiate with the demon that’s oppressing them.
Instead of trampling serpents we have been taught to honor them as our identity and have normalized learning to live with them hence the popular push for therapy. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” Therapy doesn’t typically teach anyone to tread on serpents. Instead it teaches them how to understand serpents and learn to live with them and how to teach others in their lives how to respect their serpents when in reality we should be DESTROYING them.
You might say….how else are we supposed to deal with our emotional heaviness?
Well…spiritual things are meant to be dealt with in the spirit! Not with fleshly weapons yet with spiritual weapons.
Read further as I break down the strategy of spiritual warfare.
First you need to understand what a spiritual war is.
It all begins with first understanding the Fall of Satan…read Isiah 14 to get the basics then you can go back to Genesis to see where Adam and Eve fell into temptation and disobeyed Yahuah. This is where mankind joined Satan in their rebellion to Yah. Which explains why we disobey him now. 1 John 5:19 “ We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” The battles of life: spiritual, emotional, financial and relational are all due to a spiritual cause . We can think things are meaningless or we think we just need to fix them through education or politics but no….this will never truly solve the problem. Its spiritual!
So Which kingdom do you belong to? Luke 11:23, “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” Our Father says there is no lukewarm…no neutral follower. You are either with him or you are not. The battle is between those that are walking in the spirit and those that are not..it is about obedience and disobedience to him . Rev 12:17, “Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of Yahuah and hold to the testimony of Yahusha. And he stood[a] on the sand of the sea.”
Become a part of Yahuahs army. To be a part of his army you must turn away from satans control and all false gods. Repent to change your mind …confess
Deepen your relationship with Yahuah. Increase your prayer life..and continue to understand the word.
Getting prepared for battle: Closing all open doors which include: unhealed wounds, connections, occult, lies you have believed, curses in lineage, and Fear,
Getting prepared for battle: Know how to use your weapons. Knowing the word.. No more bowing down to Babylon.fasting, power of the blood . speak the word of your life. And don’t forget the weapon of love
Understanding the strategy of the enemy.
1: Look at each area of your life: Pick 1-3 areas of your life to focus on for the next 40 days.
Most likely the strongholds in one area will affect the other areas of your life as well. Scan your life and look for the biggest patterns. What issues seem to be on repeat? Look for patterns, areas you continue to get stuck in, areas you continue to make goals in but can’t seem to keep them, problems that may be generational. Areas that really get in the way of you adhering to the identity that Yahuah has given you. Some examples: shyness, arrogance, passivity, sugar addiction, anxiety, laziness, feeling confused, afraid of the future, pessimistic, insecurity, can’t keep a job, lack of joy etc.
2: Now begin to see these “problems” for what they really are. They are ways the enemy uses to keep you entangled in lies so you never are ready to be apart of Yahuahs army. So you never are ready to receive the blessings he has in store for you. The enemy knows that Yahuah is training his people so they can have unshakeable power. So the evil forces are relentlessly trying to keep Yahs people weak, confused and struggling in a sea of lies.
3: If you are not clear on your TRUE identity - read scripture to find out the promises he has for his people and how he sees them and ask Yah during prayer how does he see you…what is your true identity.
You will hear things such as: Royal Priesthood, Special Inheritance, His Special Possession, I Chose You etc
Get a notebook and begin mapping out your strategy.
A: Choose the issue:
I will walk you through this by choosing 3 “sample” problems so you get an idea of how to map out your strategy. For this exercise I’ll choose 1: Shyness 2: Passivity 3: Confusion (write your own down in your book under PATTERNS/FALSE IDENTITY )
B: Expose the truth:
Write a statement like the following to expose the truth of these problems: The enemy wants me to stay shy so I never feel bold enough to resist the devil. The enemy wants me to be passive so I can remain a puppet and easily manipulated. The enemy wants me to feel confused so I never begin living in the truth of the word. In these patterns I am never a threat to the enemy. I am predictable. I am a slave while stuck in these patterns.
C: Know your REAL identity:
The enemy wants you to believe that you are just shy or passive. But that is not true. You might have been “behaving shy” but that is not your TRUE identity. So now write out your TRUE identity under a section titled: MY TRUE IDENTITY
This is where you write…”His special possession”, “Chosen” etc. Go to scripture to find out what Yahuah has said or go into prayer to ask him directly.
D: Know THE ENEMIES WEAPONS: The enemies goal is to kill, steal and destroy. The way he does this in my life will look differently in your life. So how does he show up to kill, steal and destroy with you? Does he kill your faith, steal your energy, destroy your worthiness? He wants you weak so he can sneak in and control you. He wants you not obeying Yahuah so you can unknowingly bow down to him. So what areas in your life are you constantly fighting against? some ex: feeling rejected, getting into arguments often, not feeling understood, daydreaming too much you live out of touch with reality, being so busy with work you don’t pray, people pleasing, concerned with fitting in.
The enemy will use these “weapons” to continue to entrap you. ex: If you begin setting a habit to pray every morning the enemy will influence you to get into an unnecessary argument the night before so you are too irritated to pray in the morning. Or You will get strong on your walk with Yah but a feeling of unworthiness will sneak in…causing you to doubt your relationship with him. Its imperative to understand how the enemy tries to derail YOU. He has been sneaking in to derail you your whole life. Its time to see clearly! And to know his moves before he takes the next one. And not to take the bait any longer.
So moving forward…..if a friend tries to argue with you the night before your big prayer morning you’ll already know that you use to have a problem with your anger. And would spiral into an angry tornado and it would affect your ability to stay prayed up. So this time you see the enemy wants to keep you weak and controlled. But you pause the fight with your friend and tell her lets talk when you have time to cool down. Get off the phone before you get amped up and go to bed to be ready to bring this into your prayer time with Yah instead. You now understand the enemys’ goal is to steal your peace and to destroy your relationship with Yah. When you know his evil plans you can stop them dead in their tracks instead of being caught off guard by them.
E: Die to your old ways by making a list
The enemy is always predictable. It is time to understand what he is about to do before he does it. This world, its culture, the programming, our traumas etc all have been shaping the way we see ourselves, the way we behave and the ways we think. We are not conditioned to see ourselves as our Father sees us. The enemy will enforce these incorrect identities through speaking to us (which we can think are our own thoughts), through social media, through conversations we have with friends, through our emotions etc. What we have to understand is our emotions/thoughts/and traumas might be experienced but they're not necessarily true. 2 Corinthians 10:5 “we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Yahusha.” We have to also stop wanting to behave in ways, think in ways and identify in ways that are in opposition to our Father. We must truly repent (change our minds) and renounce (turn away and no longer think the thoughts or do the things that we once did). It requires US to change course.
So let’s make a list of all the ways we must change to align with Yahuah.
What has been the ways the enemy will make sure you don’t feel like Yahs special possession or his chosen one? What are the ways you continue to get stuck in shyness, passivity, and confusion. Ex. The enemy as you feel rejected, trapped in being self conscious, Avoid eye contact, Don’t share your opinions when with others. Now make a list of all the things that contribute to you being self conscious, avoiding eye contact and not sharing options. Write all the habits, ways of being, patterns that keep you behaving like a weak passive shy and confused slave not like Yahs Royalty. Make a list of as many things you can think of and title it THINGS NOT TO DO (these can be actions, behaviors, thoughts, beliefs etc)
Ex: Say yes when I mean no, compare myself with others, too much time on social media, I avoid eye contact, feeling unworthy for being overweight, don’t speak because you feel other will judge you etc
Make a long list of things to stop doing. Read it daily every morning….go through this list and choose not to engage in these behaviors anymore. As you read them do a repentance prayer for each one. ex: Father I repent from feeling so unworthy. I know you see me as your special possession and I will now turn away from the belief that I am inferior due to my weight issue. Father I want to see myself as you see me and I rebuke any lies that told me my value is in my body. I Rebuke any lies that make me not want to take care of my health. I know the enemy wants me to feel stuck and confused but I am no longer confused on my identity and will not walk in shame. For I know who my father is and I am proud to be his. I will walk with Yahuah in my heart and in my mind and I walk away from my old ways. etc
F: Get prayers, scriptures and activities to be in your weapon toolbox
Your job now is to change your ways. Do not agree with the enemy yet agree with Yahuah!! So prepare a handful of scriptures that will speak truth to the areas that you have challenges with and read them daily! Get prayers to help combat these patterns - memorize them - say them daily even while in the car driving. Build your day around stepping into alignment with Yah. Create activities that will strengthen your new identity. Ex: Sing songs of your new identity (make them up and bring in your drums), dance and shake off all the lies, and dance and rejoice your new powerful relationship with Yahuah, Get creative to bring your prayers to life
